Glamour Shots With Blake

A few weeks ago, I looked at the calender that Blake had sitting on her desk. I was flipping through it, and noticed that July 12, 2010 was circled in a bright pink pen. It was titled "Glamour Shots with Emmi!" I was ever so curious about what that was! Blake noticed that I was reading it, and she immediately grabbed the calendar away from me. Not another word was said after that. I didn't want to ask. Obviously she didn't want me to know about this 'Glamour Shot' thing! I left her house later, SUPER curious. I asked my mom if she had any idea what that was about. She gave me her 'i-know-but-i-dont-wanna-tell-you' kind of look. I decided to forget that I ever read it.

So today was July 12, and I had completely forgot about the whole Glamour Shot thing. My mom called my downstairs and told me to wear a nice shirt and a skirt, brush my hair, and look presentable. Nothing suspicious there! Typical mom. *sigh* An

yway, I decided to wear my cupcake shirt that Blake got my from NY and to put my sidebangs

in a clip. I walked downstairs and my mom told me to get in the car. We drove for what felt like HOURS!! Finally, we pulled into a little office building with the sign saying "Looking Like a Million". When we found a parking spot I saw Blake's car. Suddenly, it hit me... GLAMOUR SHOTS WITH BLAKE!!! I started spazing out. I ran inside and Blake was waiting for me. "It was supposed to be a surprise..." said Blake. I grinned at her. A photographer lady called us back into a room and dazzled us up with glitter and lipstick; it was so cool! To bad it didn't show up in the pictures ;( (Oh, and the lady took my sidebangs down! haha)

I had a blast and so did Blake! Here's how the photos turned out. I hope you like them as much as I do!

Lost Dog, Found!

Hello, fellow bloggers! Today Blake, Marisol, and I were exploring my yard. Before you ask, Marisol is a very great friend and her and Blake get along ever so well. Marisol is learning English very quickly, thanks to my *sigh*... awesome language skills, haha! :) Anywho, I was walking in my new Liberty Jane monkey flats. I was so exited when I got them! They have Paul Frank monkeys all over them. They go perfect with my butterfly dress! Hooray for "A"s! :D

As we were walking, the dog I found about two months ago came running behind us. "MIKKI!!!!!!!" Screamed Marisol. "Mikki?" (Pronounced "Me-key") Marisol ran up to the dog called 'Mikki' and gave her a great big hug. haha! If you guessed the dog was Marisol's,

you were correct! :) Perro means dog in Spanish. If you are wondering how the dog is her's, Marisol moved here about 2 months ago. This is how she lost the dog... (She told me in Spanish, maybe you can translate it? Good luck, detectives!)

Everyone is seemingly happy! Marisol found Mikki, I got my shoes, and... oh, I forgot to tell you... BLAKE IS GOING TO NEW YORK! :D

(The Crazy Doll Lady - Remember I never asked my mom and had to forfeit the contest? Sorry, I can not receive the shoes. Thanks anyway!)

Exchange Student From Mexico

Hey, everyone! Emmi Dean, here. Today we got a new exchange student from Chihuahua, Mexico! I think her name is Marisol. I am going to be working with her starting next week; I am going to help her learn a little bit of english. I can fluently speak French, English, Spanish, and Latin. I have helped exchange students in the past, too. Knowing other languages can help in detective situations, which reminds me that Jess needs some detective work? I am happy to help :) Marisol has been living here in American Girl Town for a month or two, she just hasn't started school yet. I wonder why I haven't seen her around town?

Anyway, I think that Marisol is beautiful! I love her curls and her dazzling brown eyes. I wish I could help sooner, she is so confused! She has asked a few people for help, but they cant understand her poorly spoken English under her thick Latino accent. Ms. Hermando says that it is a hard task to teach english to spanish! I think it will be no big deal.

I also saw Marisol in the hallway today and got a picture of her with my phone. She keeps wandering saying "Perro! Perro!" Now if I only knew what that meant! Time for some detective skills!

A Mid-Summer's Dream (Poetry By Sam)

As she draws the drapes,

she can't bear but to fall forlorn.

She falls and falls, and collapses on a cloud;

oh soft, compressible cloud!

Her eyes slowly drifted in comfort.

Alas, she sleeps

nothing to stir her;

nothing to wake her gentle forty winks;

except, a bray?

Oh, questions thee;

she rose to her feet;

she falls from the cloud;

and lands right on the damp earth, in a quantity of flowers.

Furthermore, she apprehends a rustle.

It is nothing outlandish, it is just a gesture to the muffled morning.

"Where do I wonder?" She pondered aloud.

Another rustle was heard, she examined the most beautiful sight as she turned a crook.

Twas Black Beauty? Deliberate again!

It was black-er then Black Beauty;

It was white-er then snow;

It was more beauteous then beauty itself;

It was a young girl's dream, come true.

Not a soul knows why the girl dreams of this horse,

all mortals know, however, that in each fantasy, she would be

stride the horse.

She would plummet off of it, every now and then, but she would defy gravity and float aloof the horse once more;

so gracefully.

She would canter until dusk again,

her fragile face, an angle on a horse;

she who is a happy one, nothing can stop her.

She smiles a broad smile, and flies off the horse.

She provides some grass for the famished horse;

she shows great interest in the animal;

she cares, too.

She decided to no longer trot on him, instead she walks.

They are side by side; like old friends who have not seen each other in a great time.

Soon, the skies began to sout;

she carried on about with her horse;

in her very own Mid-Summer Dreamland.

Blake; she has always been the one to have more than me.

What I like about her? She does not brag about it, she shares it.

But this one? She is not letting me touch... for now. And I'm okay with it! :)

But did I get my surprise? No.

Am I mad? Leaning towards it.

Am I happy for Blake? Sure!

Spring Fling!

I showed my mom and she was thrilled! Liberty Jane might release new flats when the spring collection comes out, so I am going to choose my pair then. Oh, I almost forgot! Tomorrow is Spring Picture Day at my school! I will post the pictures of me when they get developed.
