Early Birthday Present!

Hola! Como estas? Me llamo Emmi. Hehe. :) It is my birthday soon (November 12), but I have already gotten a present! Today Luci (my cousin) was garage sale-ing and saw a magnifying glass for $15. It was blue!! That is my favorite color. Luci was going to wait till my actual birthday, but could not ponder for that long. I was ecstatic when she handed me a box that said Willards Looking Glass & Co. I knew what that was... how could I not have! They are the leading seller of professional magnifying glasses - used by real detectives! The normal prices of these goods are about $75! The people at the garage sale told Luci they would sell it for $15 because of constant wear and use. I screamed and hugged Luci, but not for long! Before you knew it, I had ran outside to magnify anything I could find. Then I decided it was time to get serious...

I wasn't Emmi right now... I was "Emilee Magdeline Clara Dean - National Detective/Spy". However, I was traveling under the false name of "Silence J. McCint". (hehe) I snuck around the entire perimeter of England's greatest theft, Dr. Roger Russo's secret layer. With only a pair of rubber gloves, a magnifying glass, a bag, and a writing pad & pencil I had to find a way to break in. Alas, I had seen my chance. A false wall I had accidently leaned on crumbled. I was in. It was official. My life now depended on finding Lady Luci's diamond ring. I did some snooping... then, I saw something shimmering. It was the ring!! I grabbed it an ran. I heard a mischievous voice "Well, If it isn't Ms. Silence." I was caught...

"Emmi!" Luci called from the house. Time for dinner! I ran inside. What an adventure I had today! I told my family about it at dinner.

New Wig...?

Hey, guys! Luci here! (I am Emmi's cousin...) Emilee, as i like to call her, is studying like crazy! So, I decided to post for her. A few weeks ago before school started, Emilee and I went to North Point mall! That is where the high end couture store is, American Girl. Honestly, it's not so high end anymore, but it's priced like it's high end! We didn't find anything we quite liked, so instead we headed for Abercrombie & Finch. Ah, the store that makes you sick after a while from the smell!

Now school has been in for about three weeks, and fall is here! It's not 'jacket season' yet, but the whether has been nice around Georgia. You know, I don't like jackets that much.

Hey ya'll, Emmi here. Sorry for Luci's ramblings... I was doing some studying and didn't realize she was hacking my blog! Silly cousins! Anyway, I have been wanting a new wig for while. Why, might you ask? Well, my person used a steamer to straighten my hair a while back. At first, it looked amazing! But as time went by, and she misted my hair more and more, the straightness came out. Its wavy in the back, and frizzy in the front. :( So I did some snooping on Etsy.com, and found some really cute wigs! So far, this is my favorite:

I personally think it fits a detective's personality! It's so Nancy Drew like.

Luci edit: It looks like this poor girl just rolled out of bed! It also slightly looks a bit like Taylor Swift, who's hair I envy greatly! I will ask my person if I can be rewiged; ill ask at dinner, which is being served now.

Emmi edit: My Person's mom said no. "original is better, its not worth the risk!" Oh well... I guess i'll have another frizzy picture day :(

Glamour Shots With Blake

A few weeks ago, I looked at the calender that Blake had sitting on her desk. I was flipping through it, and noticed that July 12, 2010 was circled in a bright pink pen. It was titled "Glamour Shots with Emmi!" I was ever so curious about what that was! Blake noticed that I was reading it, and she immediately grabbed the calendar away from me. Not another word was said after that. I didn't want to ask. Obviously she didn't want me to know about this 'Glamour Shot' thing! I left her house later, SUPER curious. I asked my mom if she had any idea what that was about. She gave me her 'i-know-but-i-dont-wanna-tell-you' kind of look. I decided to forget that I ever read it.

So today was July 12, and I had completely forgot about the whole Glamour Shot thing. My mom called my downstairs and told me to wear a nice shirt and a skirt, brush my hair, and look presentable. Nothing suspicious there! Typical mom. *sigh* An

yway, I decided to wear my cupcake shirt that Blake got my from NY and to put my sidebangs

in a clip. I walked downstairs and my mom told me to get in the car. We drove for what felt like HOURS!! Finally, we pulled into a little office building with the sign saying "Looking Like a Million". When we found a parking spot I saw Blake's car. Suddenly, it hit me... GLAMOUR SHOTS WITH BLAKE!!! I started spazing out. I ran inside and Blake was waiting for me. "It was supposed to be a surprise..." said Blake. I grinned at her. A photographer lady called us back into a room and dazzled us up with glitter and lipstick; it was so cool! To bad it didn't show up in the pictures ;( (Oh, and the lady took my sidebangs down! haha)

Lost Dog, Found!

Hello, fellow bloggers! Today Blake, Marisol, and I were exploring my yard. Before you ask, Marisol is a very great friend and her and Blake get along ever so well. Marisol is learning English very quickly, thanks to my *sigh*... awesome language skills, haha! :) Anywho, I was walking in my new Liberty Jane monkey flats. I was so exited when I got them! They have Paul Frank monkeys all over them. They go perfect with my butterfly dress! Hooray for "A"s! :D

As we were walking, the dog I found about two months ago came running behind us. "MIKKI!!!!!!!" Screamed Marisol. "Mikki?" (Pronounced "Me-key") Marisol ran up to the dog called 'Mikki' and gave her a great big hug. haha! If you guessed the dog was Marisol's,

you were correct! :) Perro means dog in Spanish. If you are wondering how the dog is her's, Marisol moved here about 2 months ago. This is how she lost the dog... (She told me in Spanish, maybe you can translate it? Good luck, detectives!)

Exchange Student From Mexico

Hey, everyone! Emmi Dean, here. Today we got a new exchange student from Chihuahua, Mexico! I think her name is Marisol. I am going to be working with her starting next week; I am going to help her learn a little bit of english. I can fluently speak French, English, Spanish, and Latin. I have helped exchange students in the past, too. Knowing other languages can help in detective situations, which reminds me that Jess needs some detective work? I am happy to help :) Marisol has been living here in American Girl Town for a month or two, she just hasn't started school yet. I wonder why I haven't seen her around town?

Anyway, I think that Marisol is beautiful! I love her curls and her dazzling brown eyes. I wish I could help sooner, she is so confused! She has asked a few people for help, but they cant understand her poorly spoken English under her thick Latino accent. Ms. Hermando says that it is a hard task to teach english to spanish! I think it will be no big deal.

I also saw Marisol in the hallway today and got a picture of her with my phone. She keeps wandering saying "Perro! Perro!" Now if I only knew what that meant! Time for some detective skills!

A Mid-Summer's Dream (Poetry By Sam)

As she draws the drapes,

she can't bear but to fall forlorn.

She falls and falls, and collapses on a cloud;

oh soft, compressible cloud!

Her eyes slowly drifted in comfort.

Alas, she sleeps

nothing to stir her;

nothing to wake her gentle forty winks;

except, a bray?

Oh, questions thee;

she rose to her feet;

she falls from the cloud;

and lands right on the damp earth, in a quantity of flowers.

Furthermore, she apprehends a rustle.

It is nothing outlandish, it is just a gesture to the muffled morning.

"Where do I wonder?" She pondered aloud.

Another rustle was heard, she examined the most beautiful sight as she turned a crook.

Twas Black Beauty? Deliberate again!

It was black-er then Black Beauty;

It was white-er then snow;

It was more beauteous then beauty itself;

It was a young girl's dream, come true.

Not a soul knows why the girl dreams of this horse,

all mortals know, however, that in each fantasy, she would be

stride the horse.

She would plummet off of it, every now and then, but she would defy gravity and float aloof the horse once more;

so gracefully.

She would canter until dusk again,

her fragile face, an angle on a horse;

she who is a happy one, nothing can stop her.

She smiles a broad smile, and flies off the horse.

She provides some grass for the famished horse;

she shows great interest in the animal;

she cares, too.

She decided to no longer trot on him, instead she walks.

They are side by side; like old friends who have not seen each other in a great time.

Soon, the skies began to sout;

she carried on about with her horse;

in her very own Mid-Summer Dreamland.

What I like about her? She does not brag about it, she shares it.

But this one? She is not letting me touch... for now. And I'm okay with it! :)

I showed my mom and she was thrilled! Liberty Jane might release new flats when the spring collection comes out, so I am going to choose my pair then. Oh, I almost forgot! Tomorrow is Spring Picture Day at my school! I will post the pictures of me when they get developed.

I Entered AGMA Season 3!

Well, here I am! I have to say, that is the best photo of me... EVER TAKEN! I love the camera angle and how bright the photo was. Anywhoo... today I decided that I would enter the American Girl Modeling Academy! I have to admit, the pictures turned better than I hoped! I have to give credit to my cousin, Luci, who took the pictures. She is an amazing photographer, no mystery there!! Thanks Luci. See her blog here. So far, I believe that there are a good 23-24 audition videos. Each one of them are unique... It would be super hard to be a judge. Have you noticed something different about my blog? Yes? No? Maybe? hahaha :) If you gave up, look at the first column to the right. See that pig? That is Mr. Ree! He is really cool (Even though all he does is move on the screen). I think his name is cool, too! Blake came up with it. If you say "Mr. Ree" really fast, it sounds like "Mystery"! And guess who loves mysteries? No dip, it's me. Okay, back on to the post's topic... AGMA. If you would like to see my audition video, please click here. I also want to say that AGphotographer has some splendid pictures that she is going to enter. They are really pretty! I also would like to give a big shout-out to Jess's mom, Lexii! Thanks for creating AGMA, it is really fun!!

1.) Not yet :(

2.) It's really easy! Just separate a section of hair from one side of your hair part, and fold it over to the other side. Then, clip the hair in place.

Found Dog!

Today was just a weird Sunday. I was on a walk with my best friend Blake. All of the sudden, we saw a helpless puppy run across the main road. Thinking that the dog would get hit by a car, Blake and I scurried to it. Trembling, we ran out of the road holding the poor pup. With out saying another word, we headed home. "What are we going to do?" Blake asked me. "I don't know!" I said looking at the shaking puppy. "I think she wants to go home." "No kidding!" Blake exclaimed. All of the sudden, I got an idea! I ran upstairs, with Blake trailing behind. "What are you doing, Emmi?" Blake wondered. Finally! I found my laptop. "We are going to make 'found dog' posters and hang them up around town!" I blurted. "Oh, what a splendid idea!" Blake admired.

Well, what do you think? I think we did an AWESOME job! The flyer said:

as soon as we printed out a few more, we started hanging up the flyers around town. Until the owner calls me, the puppy is safe and sound at my house. -Emmi Dean

Life is a mystery. Full of adventure and unexpected things! I am both, or my personality is. I am very different from everyone else I know; the only two people I know that can understand me are my Person and my best friend, Blake Holland. What makes me so different from everyone else? Well, I look at things through different points of view. I find out things that may make the situation better; like clues in a mystery/detective book! I suppose your wondering why I keep bringing up "mystery" and "detective"? You see, when I grow up, I want to be the next Nancy Drew! I read her books when I was about seven, and ever since then, she has inspired me to live my dream. What Nancy Drew does is figures out murders and robberies and stuff like that. I can't really do that! So for now, I am Emily "Emmi" Mgdeline Clara Dean who attends Old Side Elementary School, figuring out day to day "mini" mysteries. I sit, I wait, and I wish for a big opportunity to show my talent.
